I’m Isaure de la Presle.
I create fine art through my signature creative process that’s part meditative and part intuitive. Each piece invites contemplation and connection.
It took a while (and lots of life experiences) to hone this process, but the results are paintings and etchings that build on the imprints left by the energy which surrounds us.
Following my Dreams
I’m a bicultural prototype child born in Paris and learned to speak English at age 9, when I moved to New York. After graduating from high school I returned to my roots where I earned a Graphic Design Diploma. I was barely grownup when I knew in my heart that my dreams were to be a mother and an artist. I hardly had a chance to dip my toe into a professional career when I became a mother. 4 beautiful children in 7 short years! Being a mother was even more fulfilling than I imagined. However, the call to be an artist started becoming impossible to ignore.
The question was–how could I balance motherhood and a professional artistic career?
Answering the call
One fateful day, I met with a friend who seemed to have cracked the code. She was a mother AND worked as a successful artist. Seeing someone handling these two roles was deeply inspirational to me. And it gave me the confidence to pursue Fine Art as a career.
My first two art shows in France were a success that inspired me to attend Beaux Arts de Versailles to pursue my Fine Arts degree. It was then I discovered my passion for teaching aspiring artists to express themselves through abstract art. With the ink barely dry on my diploma, our family moved to Ohio, where eventually I became well-established as an artist.
Creativity fueled by spirituality
In more recent years, my spiritual practice has flourished and taken a more important seat in my life. Developing my spirituality and my intuition through meditation has strengthened my creativity. The energy that exists around me often becomes a co-creator of my artwork.
Travel and Culture
I’ve been fortunate to have been able to travel to every continent with my children, at times volunteering doing humanitarian work. I have a deep appreciation for learning about different cultures
Today I call Santa Barbara, California my home. I create bold abstract paintings, colorful landscapes, and etchings in my home studio, where I also enjoy giving spirited art classes that blend mindfulness and art.
